Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

R&S Compton Concrete and Masonry, comptonconcreteandmasonry.com, estimates@comptonconcreteandmasonry.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the R&S Compton Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us through it. If you use the site or ask us for an estimate, you're agreeing to these terms, so please read them first.

When we sign a written estimate or contract with you for a specific job, that document controls the job. If it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.

What we do

R&S Compton Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Compton, CA, doing brick, block, stone and concrete work for homes in Compton and the cities around it. Our services and the cities we work in are listed on our home page, and you can read more about us on our About page.

What's on this site is general information about masonry work. It isn't a promise about your house, because we can't say what your job needs until we've seen it in person.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and done at your property, with no obligation to hire us. Your estimate is based on what we can see that day, so it covers the scope, materials and price we write down and nothing beyond that.

Sometimes a job turns up something nobody could see before we started, like a cracked footing behind a wall or soil that won't hold a base. When that happens, we stop, show you what we found and give you the added cost in writing, and we don't do extra work until you approve it.

An estimate is good for the time it states. After that, material prices can change, so we may need to update it before we schedule your job.

Scheduling and cancellation

Once you approve your estimate, we'll set a start date with you. Weather, material deliveries, inspections and conditions found on site can move that date, and if that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we know.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (562) 232-8311 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or started work, you may owe for those materials and the work done up to that point, as your written estimate or contract states.

Payment

Your written estimate or contract sets out what you'll pay, when, and any deposit. Payment is due on the dates it lists, and the final payment is due when the work it describes is done.

If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's settled. We'll always talk with you before doing that.

Our work and warranty

We're licensed and fully insured, and we want you satisfied with the job. If something in our work isn't right, call us and we'll come out to look at it and make it right where the problem is ours.

Any written warranty on a job comes in your estimate or contract, and only that warranty applies. Besides that, and as far as the law allows, we don't make other promises about the work or the website. Brick, stone and concrete are natural materials, so small changes in color and texture, minor hairline cracks from normal curing, and wear from ground movement, roots, water or misuse aren't defects in our work.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, R&S Compton Concrete and Masonry isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, like lost rent or lost use of part of your property, from our work or from using this site. If we're responsible for a problem, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the job in question.

Nothing here limits any right you have that California law says can't be waived.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with anything, please call us first, because most problems get fixed faster with a conversation and a visit to the job. Tell us what's wrong and we'll work with you in good faith to settle it.

If we can't agree, either side can take the matter to the courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless your contract sets a different process.

Which law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by California law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect. Changes won't affect a job you've already signed for, which stays under the terms in place when you signed.

Questions about these terms

If anything on this page isn't clear, call us at (562) 232-8311 or reach us through our Contact page, and we'll explain it before you decide anything.
